Start up for an Adult Family Home (AFH)

We provide consultation services to prospective entrepreneurs who want to start up an Adult Family Home in the State of Wisconsin.

An Adult Family Home is a place where 3 or 4 adults who are not related to the licensee will reside therein. Such adults will receive care, treatment, or services above the level of room and board, but not including nursing care. Selected services are provided to people residing in the home as a primary function of the place, except that it does not mean a place described in s. 50.01(1g)(a) to (d), Stats of the Wisconsin State Legislature.
